Buying KOTC

Hello.

Great game! It's like TOEE with all the bugs (and most of the content) missing.

Any news on bringing it to GoG or Steam? Id rather buy it there and hopefully for a lower price.

Thank you for the kind words Wened. The GoG thing flopped, not too sure why, I think they were expecting more marketing involvement from me than I can provide for the moment (not because of any requirement on price. I'm fine with a low price). Steam is still in the plans of course, but again, I need a good video for that. It's a tonne of work just to go through all past saved games, pick up good places to record, record videos, assemble them, edit them, add text and add music. And of course that would only be the first step since the game would need to be approved and then I would need to get the game to work with their framework. So I'm definitely not going to make any promise on when it will appear there.

Than maybe drop the price on Your webpage? One of the main reasons i did not bought KOTCH yet was that 12.5 pounds seems quite steep.
Putting it on sale and posting about that on rpgcodex/gamebanshee/rpgfan might bring you more revenue then keeping the current high price.

How come many other indie developers do managed to provide the involvement necessary to sell it in GOG? Please make a serious effort, many people like me would buy it on the spot if it became available there since there isn't a single 3.5 native game available besides this one.

Thanks for reading,

Actually what's blocking the deal now is that GOG wants to have the dollars from sales converted to pounds by a large bank. So after GOG takes 30%, the bank would take another 5% in exchange costs. I tried to convince them to use a service like Transferwise or go through a currency exchange firm but no luck. Of course, a developer in the US would have no such issue. For me it's a deal-breaker, I would rather try my chance with Steam, which I will, eventually.

Holy crap, whatdidyoujustsay?! You're going to try another distribution outlet? You'll have to let us know when you get on Steam. Once you're a millionaire, I'm sure you won't be wasting your time gabbing with us peons. :D

Seriously though, it's a shame GOG won't make some accommodations for you. Can't think of a better home for KotC.
