I've found that it's quite easy to import your own Tokens and sprites just by uploading PNG files of the appropriate dimensions/naming conventions into the G:\Knights of the Chalice 2\Graphics\Tokens and Knights of the Chalice 2\Graphics\Sprites directories, so I've made about 430 or so of my own.

You can download the zip file containing everything I've made here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1caFIZ6JxjpvKl1TPLKaRQrEFMD-aia2v
Updated with new Tokens 8/24/2020

Please don't use these commercially for anything. The token images are lifted from various cheesy sword and sorcery movies (and MST3K episodes) and the sprites are heavily modified NES game sprites that I mucked about with until they looked vaguely Pierre's original KOTC1 sprites.

I did my best to create at least one token for every class and one sprite for every race in the game, but understandably some were easier to come by than others. If you like Barbarians, today is your lucky day.

For the sprites, I've added:
4 Colors of Drake
2 Colors of Centaur
2 Colors of Half-Giant
2 Colors of Halfling
4 Colors of Kobold
3 Colors of Half-Salamander
and a pallet-shifted Green Mantis.

These are the only ones I intend to do, and I made them for my own amusement/characters in the game, so please don't ask me to make any more. I'm sure down the road we will be getting more official game tokens/sprites, and there's no guarantee Pierre won't have to change things down the road, so I'm not going to put too much effort into anything that could be rendered redundant.

Just updated the zip file above with a couple of sprite option for half-giants and halflings (Just the same sprite, reduced 60%)
Now there's a sprite for every race (sort of) as long as you lump Drakes, Kobolds, and Half-Salamanders together.

Hi, thank you.

in a future version, could you put a capital letter on all tokens so that they are in alphabetic order? i noticed the capital letters are put first, then lower case.

Added a few more tokens for various races and classes to bring the total up to over 200, and fixed the color on a few of the previous ones that were a little too dark or sepia tinted.
And per request, I've also changed the g in the gladiator sprites to a capital G.

I might try my hands at making a few more sprites once I've fully played through the game (hasn't happened yet due to multiple crashes and bugs) and start exploring the module tool.

I've updated the zip file with new sprites for Kobolds and Half-Salamanders. (Though since they're all just vaguely lizard people, you can use them interchangably as you see fit.)
There are now stand-in sprites for each of the playable races, although noting specific for Elves. I might do one or two more if I get the urge to add something to my own game, but I'm afraid this is primarily a tile set, and it's up to Pierre to get somebody professional in to complete the rest of the game animation.

Do we have all the playable races yet adequately implemented as sprites? If not, which are we missing?

Thankee!

For the playable characters, there's no differentiation between Human and Elf sprites (someone could go in and add an extra couple of pixels to make the ears pointier)and there's no female or class-specific sprites for anything other than human.

For Drakes, Kobolds, and Half-Salamanders, I made sure there's at least one different color for each sub-race.
Giants, Dwarfs, Centaurs, and Halflings could do with a few more color variants. If anybody with Photoshop cares to step in and do some pallet adjusting, it's not that difficult. Just time-consuming.

In looking for 8 and 16-Bit sprites that could possibly be transformed into a Half-Salamander, I did find an odd Japanese RPG called Laplace no Ma which uses 3-frame animation sprites in the same general layout as KOTC. The sprite sheet is about 60% too small, and the characters are noticeably skinnier with smaller heads, but in Photoshop, it's possible to stretch them (using the nearest-neighbor pixel setting so the individual pixels just get bigger and maintain the same color pallet) and then go in by hand with a square pencil brush and redraw them until they look a bit more like KOTC sprites.

I may eventually convert some of the more generic or medieval looking ones into elves, half-giants, or halflings, but it takes several hours to finish even one complete sprite set, and there's only so much my carpal tunnel can take. (plus, I'm playing the game using tiles, so sprite animation isn't that big on my priority list.)
