Taneliz question

Did a search and didn't see anything that looked like it covered this, so...
I just cleared out Taneliz, except for one big building in the north that is guarded by 6 guards. They don't attack on sight, and when I try to open the door it says something like "you could probably break the door down, but you should probably get rid of the guards first." Except I can't attack the guards. Bug? Am I doing something wrong? Or nothing to see here?

Have you tried listening on the door? That worked for me, if I remember correctly ...

Or you could just try talking to the guards.

not 100% sure, but I don't recall seeing that as an option.

You can talk to them, you just have to mouse over the sergeant on the door's right side.

Taneliz has my favorite moment of the game so far. When the snotty little nobles with paid for by Mommy and Daddy magic items decides to take on the party of adventurers. That was quite a little bit of fun. I thanked their corpses profusely for the nice new toys

Heh, that was a high point for me as well. I guess it's an universal thing to enjoy trouncing snotty nobles.

I fondly remember Taneliz as the place where I hacked and slashed myself to fortune.
