Oh man, I've tried everything but I think I'm really 100% stuck at the bottom of the Mountain pass cave. I killed everything down there, including what I think is the "end" fight with the named black dragon, and I can't get out of that place.

I found a letter saying that the exit is marked by a skeleton but all the corridors that have skeletons on the floor down there don't lead anywhere.

I also tried to cast Teleport to World Map and it fizzled. Is this a bug? Ahhhhhhhh!!

Okay, I figured it out. Turns out there was a secret door on the upper right side of that main room where the dragon was.
There was no skeleton there, or any other marker though so I lucked out.

Yes, that was very clever dungeon design. You really have to check every square and examine walls closely in this game.

The note, I believe, was a false lead. Never trust the gnolls!
