The Slings and Arrows of Outrageous Fortune

I recently made a post because I could not enter the temple to rescue the princess.
(I was missing a needed scroll - turned out I had missed an area of the Fire Pits).
However, I have a new problem, or dilemma.
In the fight in which the scroll dropped, in the very first round, before any of my characters could act, my wizard was killed by an Arrow of Slaying.
I thought "Okay, I'll True Rez her on my cleric's turn".
Then, in the same round, still before I had a chance to act, my cleric was killed by another Arrow of Slaying.
It was like starting the battle with two of my characters dead (that may have been okay, if the cleric wasn't one of them).
And I'm playing in Ironman mode.
As far as I know, I can't get a rez from an NPC.
However, I do back up the game files at major points, as a protection against a computer crash, game hanging, or some such.
So, I can either quit, start the game over, or break the "spirit" of Ironman mode.
Ah, the dilemma.
P.S. Despite the byline, there are no "slings" in my story. Just arrows and outrageous fortune. My apologies to anyone who was hoping for a good sling story.
