November 2018 Update

Here's the place to talk about the features you would like to see in a sequel to KotC.

Hello everyone, happy New Year! Well, it's 1 January and I'm still not ready to start working on marketing stuff, so a delay seems likely. :( Sorry about that. My characters are level 15 now. I still have a few combat encounters to play through in the map before last and I also have to play through the last map, which is not nearly as complicated as the map before last, but it has some very big battles. The reason I'm not going as fast as I expected is that I keep finding new bugs. I've had to fix some really difficult bugs in the last few days. Hopefully it's not going to take much longer for me to finish playing through the first module. I'll keep you posted. Thank you for your patience and best wishes for 2019! Good things come to those who wait! (Sometimes...) :)

PS - Itsdat, you can do preliminary module work such as writing the dialogues, drawing map layouts and deciding what monsters to use, where to place them and what spells they should cast.

Damn...another delay? It's a shame, because the january 15 date was perfect for many reasons. :( Why don't you fix the last bugs while the KS campaign is ongoing? I mean the first module + the toolset will be released after the KS campaign ends, am I correct? That is [was] mid february. What is the new KS date?

Now this is a good idea! :)

I know, 15 Jan seemed like a good alignment of the stars but well, I'm not ready and there's only so much I can do in any single day. I don't want to give a date as I don't want to be wrong again.

I'm now playing through the final map, fixing bugs in that map and making its battles more interesting. I just need to know that the whole game can be played from start to finish before I do something else.

Yes, the plan is to release the first module + toolset at the end of the KS campaign to backers, and then on Steam and heroicfantasygames.com after a short period of further bug fixing and taking into account backer feedback.

Hi Sal,
I'm a new member and huge fan of pnp 3.5 edition and Pathfinder as well as turn-based games based on these systems (ToEE, Low Magic Age etc.). I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful project and to tell you that I will definitely support you on Kickstarter.

Hopefully it won't take too long, since you are working on the final map already. 8-)

Thank you for your support feanor89 and itsdat!

Yes, itsdat. The final map is the castle map. It has 50% of its encounters outside the castle and 50% inside. I've finished working on the outside part, so now I'm busy fixing and tweaking the castle battles, starting with the battle at the gate. There will be some pretty amazing battles in this final map, I reckon. I will post once I've finally finished all the testing and tweaking! Shouldn't be long now! Cheers all! 8-)

So how is it going? Will you post a january update, or there won't be any updates until the KS will start finally? Can we expect to have a KS in february? :)

Hello! Sorry for the delay in updating. Finally - the game is done!! I've done all the testing and tweaking I wanted to do. I did my best to create interesting and challenging encounters everywhere, so I think that the game remains enjoyable from the beginning to the end without any boring parts. RPG lovers! Do YOU have what it takes to beat the Final Challenge? I dare you! :D

Also I've just created a bunch a characters for players who prefer not to create their party from scratch. Now I need to create the installer file and then look into everything else: webpages, KS, videos. You can look forward to the new screenshots and features webpages shortly, and maybe a more detailed update in here. Thank you for your patience! :-)
