Kickstarter In-Game Videos Feel Confusing

Here's the place to talk about the features you would like to see in a sequel to KotC.

Greetings!

Some of your videos show KotC1-style sprites. Others show static tokens. What art style is in this game? It's better to show videos entirely of the visual style intended for KotC2's launch!

As a backer, if I'm confused, your prospective backers are also likely confused.

KOTC2 will have mostly tokens with the option to use the KOTC1 sprites at the start for those who prefer it. Later on more sprites will be added to the game, the more budget the more sprites and animation quality.

Hello Endarire! :-)

I'm all for clearing up the confusion but I don't see what more I can do. The first question & answer in the Kickstarter FAQ is:

I am confused, are the graphics based on flat tokens or animated sprites like KotC 1?

KotC 2 supports both tokens and animated sprites. I made the first adventure module, KotC 2: Augury of Chaos, with flat tokens. Then I added the option to display characters using sprites, and I imported the KotC 1 sprites into KotC 2. We'll get nicer high-resolution sprites after the Kickstarter. Players will be able to choose between sprites and tokens.
