Is it possible to have an Early Access release?

Greetings, to my understanding this game is currently a few months away from release.
I was wondering if it would be possible to release the game as early access (in development) at retail price. Both GOG and Steam allow for this and other games (successful ones too) recently and as long as there's trasparency I see nothing wrong about it.
I know this might sound like a strange request and it makes me look a bit impatient (actually I could just wait a few more months no problem), but I think that an early access release would dramatically increase the feedback received and help you polish up the game even better by identifying what and where could need some additional attention. In my opinion it's better to have this type of feedback in an early access rather than risk it with the actual release.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to this game and hope to be able to play it someday.

Edit: On an unrelated note, is there a chance this might be released for Linux as well? Please?

Hello Clangeddin and welcome to the forums :)

KotC 2 is very close to the official release now, so I'm guessing it wouldn't really make much of a difference to have an early access for it.

Besides, I'll have to focus on the upcoming three modules after the release, so while the original game will still get updates for bug fixes and system improvements like new character feats or the combat-actions menu, it will be unlikely to receive big changes in the story and quests.

A Linux version of KotC 2 isn't planned at the moment, my apologies. However, I think that you can play the game on Linux with Wine. I'm not completely sure.

Cheers, best regards 8-)
