bu save 2 kids by paying the scroll then killing spider

I firstly paid the spider a scroll to free the 2 kids.
They were freed.
Later i came back, killed the spider.
The kids are appearing in the cave, a steam achievement triggers, and i save them. Again.
I think they shouldn't appear when i kill the spider if they were already freed by paying a scroll to the spider.
