hi,

I cannot understand why the "fire" version makes this enemy untargetable, but all other versions are okay:

is that a bug or working as designed? and if as designed, why?

Hello

It's working as designed. All creatures can have immunities to certain energy types.

In this case, you're targeting a creature made of metal, an animated object. That's why it's immune to fire damage. It also has 50% resistance to cold and electricity damage, and a 50% vulnerability to acid damage. Cheers
