Hi,

I created many custom characters for the modules once and I can't find them after reinstalling the game that i had to uninstall.
Where are they located?
is that normal?

I assume we're talking about the Steam version of the game.

Currently, the characters you create in the Party Creation screen are saved in the file C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Knights of the Chalice 2/Saves/CharacterRoster.cml.

My apologies for the lost file.

Saved games are left alone when you uninstall and reinstall the game because they're not part of the base game files. However, I think that the CharacterRoster file gets deleted when you uninstall because the game files include a base version of the file containing the pre-generated characters.

Also, if I ever make an update that alters one of the pre-generated characters, I think that the file will get overwritten.

For the moment, please create a backup copy of the CharacterRoster file before uninstalling the game.

I'll see if I can have the game make a backup copy whenever you create a new character or delete an existing one. And when launching the Party Creation screen, maybe I'll have the game load the backup file if it exists (instead of the base file).
