Are There Pre-existing Creature Designs?

Postby Ronald M. Green » Sat Jul 04, 2020 4:14 am

Hello, all!

I seem unable to access any creatures to place in a test design. Are there any available, or does everything need to be entered from scratch (and out comes my old v3.5 Monster Manual...)?

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi! I discovered that those used in Augury of Chaos is easily available. When starting to edit a new scenario:
- Go to the the Template editor
- chose import from file
- navigate up one folder up
- there you should see an Augury of chaos folder. Enter it.
- Chose Templates.cml
- Select any creature types you would like from the list of more than 200 creatures available, and chose import.
- Close the import tab

Following this step you should now have a copy of the templated creatures in your scenario template file, ready to be edited and used to your heart's desire :)

Yes, that is the best way to do it. Otherwise, please use the Creature Wizard to create your initial monster templates. Cheers! :)
