Hearkenwold - Released

For those not familiar, Hearkenwold is a module I have been working on for several years in another toolset. The IceBlink engine is a similar top-down, turn-based adventure creation kit. When Knights of the Chalice 2 was released last summer, I decided to rebuild the project in the KotC2 module editor. Now several months later, I am nearing the final stages of this conversion.

Hearkenwold is an open world campaign, inspired by games like Pool of Radiance, Dark Sun, Might & Magic and Wizardry 7. Thus, there is some shared lineage with Knights of the Chalice. It aims to present a classic party based Dungeons & Dragons type adventure with a focus on exploration and tactical combat.

Here are a few screenshots of some of the work I have done so far:

And I recently posted a video to show the module in progress, featuring some basic interactions and combat:

The tentative schedule I have to release the module is by the end of March.

I posted a new video of the Hearkenwold in the KotC 2 engine. I'm still on track to finish by the end of March and release the module.

In this scenario, the party picks a fight with a rival adventuring group and things get messy.

Thank you, BlueSalamander. Your module editor has been great fun to work with. If I am lucky, I should be able to finish by the beginning of April. Here are a few more screens of the most recent progress:

Awesome, thank you! From some of the module's graphics, I get a strong 'Avernum' RPG vibe. 8-)

Thank you, LordSith. I am expecting to have everything finished by mid-April, if not sooner. Here are a few more combat screenshots from work I did earlier this month.

Looks great! How long do you estimate its playtime to be? Is it more of an hour or so long module or several hours?

Thank you. This is a pretty large campaign, and although I have not timed a complete playthrough, I have received feedback that reported close to 25 hours. It is also an open world, non linear adventure so a lot depends on how much a player chooses to explore and complete. It is definitely several hours worth of playtime.
