Stuck in Taneliz

I must be missing something obvious, but I can't find a way to get beyond the sandy underpassage area with the strangely unaggressive gorgon. I've killed everyone on the surface level of Taneliz who can (and I hope should) be killed as well as the guys in the room with the pentagram and have freed all the slaves, but I'm having no success trying to locate the High Council. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Great game, by the way!

you'll find the gorgon does not like when you rub so closely to the posters in it's bedroom... hope that helps.

Thanks for trying to help, MonkeyLancer, but I'm still clueless. Where is the Gorgon's bedroom with the pictures I'm (not) supposed to get too close to? Playing intelligent games like this one can certainly be a humbling experience!

I was being silly really... just walk along the edges of the room the gorgon is in.
