HELP! dragon kicks my butt everytime!

I've finally killed the dragon, and there were a few fights with minor critters after that, but then I found the princess and got to the ending screen. Then it said that I had completed the main quest. Where are all the other fights after that?

I don't know, he just told me that Evil still stalks the land. I hadn't ever gone to the Dark Tower, so I went there to kick $#!@, then returned. Unfortunately, Evil still stalks the land. Not sure what I haven't cleaned up at this point.
