Reluctent about the game :/

Hello, I am new.

I am familiar with the DND 3.5 rules, and I really like the system combat of KoC.
The problem is, the demo seems to be too diificult to beat.
The dwarf keeps dying, I have nowhere to sleep without defeating very tough monsters.
I am wondering if the whole game is so difficult as the demo?

No, in the full game everything will be a bit easier. Especially if you don't ignore the crafting feats and thus will be superbly equiped and have plenty of wands so you don't run out of spells/healing - well, poor monsters are in for some serious beating I'm afraid. Just don't forget about feats like Improved Initiative and optimize your AC (through crafting).

Also if you want to keep someone from dying, you should start with casting Displacement or Improved Invis on him (such situations are also in the full game).

I suggest you restart the demo and instead of going to save the dwarf, go and get the aquamarine and healing wand OR go directly underground where you will find a campfire. The demo isn't all that hard, it's all about the order in which you deal with the encounters.

The problem with the cave is that: A) There are zombies there, on which I use my spells.
B) There are a band of humans which ambosh me and are tough to fight.
But maybe I am missing something.

Be sure you explore all outside except the Dwarf and make full use of any wands you have.

How do I defeat the Lich? I've done everything else in the demo...

I took the enchant weapons feat but I don't have enough money to use it... Maybe I should have taken craft wands instead. But I'm not even able to cast the spells I have, most of the time my wizard dies in the first round and the cleric in the second or third...
