We'll have to agree to disagree... First, there was no way to parley since my characters didn't know lizard language. Second, the intent of actions is just as important as the result. In this case the motive of my characters was retribution against creatures that they considered to be evil, it was not pillage. Third, there *is* such a thing as guilt by association.
